Introduction
Lately, my interest in hacking routers and embedded hardware has gone the direction of electronics. I've been using Eagle to design my circuts and have found that other than it's minor interface quirks, it's really good.
I've become fixated with the idea of making my own embedded pc at the moment. I know, it's a fairly ambitions plan, considering how little electronics experience I actually have.
But I think that I can manage it, or at least I'll try until I do.
I'm still deciding on the exact specifications and nothing is definate, but here's the componets I'm thinking of so far:
-
CPU: Freescale Semiconductor MPC8245 - link
SDRAM: 256MB - Micron MT48LC16M16A2
FLASH: 2GB - Micron MT29F2G16AACW
Serial: 2 serial ports from MPC8245
Ethernet: Some form of ethernet, I'm not sure what chip or how many ports I want though
You can download it here. NOTE: This library is most likely wrong. Until I can go over this again and check it, you'd be best off either not using it or checking it against the processors pinout
I suppose this is more a long term project of mine, in the mean time I'm looking to make a couple of things.
I want to get a TTL-RS232 and EJTAG board made up, as well as design a reflow oven controller to use with a toaster oven, like here.

Here are the various projects that I've done/working on:RS232-TTL Converter
